Summary
The Senior Accounting Specialist (SAS) manages and implements all aspects of his/her assigned projects under the direction of the President. The SAS has a thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The SAS operates under a certain degree of autonomy using the resources allocated to provide top quality service to the client, both internal and external. The SAS manages the workload of all accounting staff. The SAS position is a salaried, exempt from overtime position, and may require working more than 40 hours per week.

Essential Job Functions
- Able to apply GAAP guidelines to work assignments. These assignments include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable, including the preparation of client invoices, managing aging invoices, reconciliation of accounts
- Manages collection of outstanding invoices monthly
- Responsible for Accounts Payable
- Audits payroll processing after Accounting Specialist has run to ensure accuracy, including the preparation and filing of payroll tax reports in a timely manner
- Manages project set-up for contract compliance, including the assignment of project numbers
- Ensures financials are in balance with Giga-Trak on a quarterly basis along with Business Manager.
- Manages the preparation of annual FAR compliant Overhead Audit report, and responses to annual external audit
- Assists and trains Project Manger’s (PM’s) as needed to monitor project multipliers for profitability
- Prepares monthly PM invoice reporting, holding follow-up meetings as needed.
- Audits monthly petty cash report; including a monthly review with President
- Preparation of monthly P&L, and Balance Sheet reports; including a monthly review with President
- Serves as back-up to Accounting Specialist for processing Per Diem requests
- Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
- Able to handle confidential information in a professional manner
- Able to multitask and adhere to scheduling of due dates for all invoices and other task as assigned.
- Able to meet deadlines consistently as assigned
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally with other company personnel, including Project Managers, Field Staff, Administration, Clients and Leadership via telephone, text, email and face-to-face conversations.

Qualifications
- Education (Minimum) – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting; or applicable work experience;
- 7-10 years of experience in mid to senior level accounting
- Experience working in an engineering or professional services firm is preferred
- Experience with Deltek Ajera accounting software is preferred
- Prior experience with accounting for federal, state and local government contracts is preferred
- Mastery of MS Office products, i.e.: MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
- Must pass pre-employment drug & alcohol screenings
- Must be authorized to work in the United States

Job Summary
A SUE Technician I will work as a field crew member, performing vacuum excavation of underground utilities. This position reports to the area's field manger. This position is an hourly, non-exempt from overtime position and may require working more than 40 hours per week. This is a labor-intensive position requiring strenuous physical exertion.

Essential Job Functions
- Safely operate vacuum excavation equipment, mounted to a large truck or trailer, to uncover underground utilities
- Safely operate tools and equipment such as a jackhammer, pogo-tamper, concrete saw, compressor blower, vacuum hose, air lance and hand tools. This list is not all inclusive
- Accurately and legibly complete required paperwork, including record keeping
- Perform simple mathematics for purposes of record keeping
- Set up maintenance of traffic as instructed
- Take basic field measurements as instructed
- Perform geophysical prospecting as instructed
- Maintain vehicles, equipment, and worksites in a safe and clean condition
- Travel throughout the state of Texas, working and staying overnight as needed at project locations, with the possibility of being out of town for up to two weeks at a time
- Safely operate/drive a company vehicle, with or without a trailer hooked-up
- Maintain company vehicles and track all related purchases and services related to vehicles

A SUE Technician IV, Lead Utility Designator will work as a lead field crew member, employing various types of geophysical equipment to identify and mark underground utilities, and document findings through field sketches. The SUE Technician IV, Lead Utility Designator will also provide daily field crew supervision as assigned. - Able to read and understand utility records and as-builts
- Able to designate (MARK IN THE FIELD) various utilities (including electric, telephone, water, fiber, gas, sanitary sewer & storm drain) utilizing locating equipment and protocol
- Able to produce high quality sketches of utilities and job site, using DesignCAD software
- Able to work in Excel and Google Earth
- Ability to coordinate with utility owner representatives in the field environment
- Thorough understanding project budgets and scope, and ability to adhere to schedules

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Subsurface Utility Engineering technician or 5 years in the successful application of geophysical equipment in utility locating such as for a contract utility locating firm or a major utility company.

The PM/PE has a thorough knowledge of the methods, practices, and procedures to provide Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) services. The PM/PE operates under a certain degree of autonomy using the staff and resources allocated to them to provide top quality service to the client while meeting profitability goals. The PM/PE position is a salaried, exempt from overtime position, and may require working more than 40 hours per week.

- Able to apply ASCE standard Civil Engineering practices to assigned SUE projects.
- Able to perform project assignments within the scope of work and guidelines defined, within the time and schedule allocations provided. These assignments will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing client proposals and estimates
- Coordinating permits as needed for project execution
- Contacting local, state and federal agencies and client personnel to request and check data, reports, and other material, as needed
- Reviewing and processing field data on assigned projects, recognizing discrepancies in results.
- Preparing engineering documents using AutoCAD and/or Microstation software platforms, and assembling project deliverable packages
- Reviewing invoices and preparing/reviewing progress reports to client
- Able to QA/QC deliverables of peer PM’s
- Able to communicate clearly with other company personnel, including other Project Managers, Field Staff, Administration, and Leadership via telephone, text and email.

Qualifications
- Education (Minimum) - B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
- Certification – A Professional Engineer (PE), Civil, in Texas
- Previous Engineering experience in SUE highly preferred, Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in related Civil Engineering field required
- Previous experience in Utility Coordination a plus, but not required
- Mastery of MS Office products, i.e.: MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
- Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus
- Proficient technical writing skills
- Must pass pre-employment drug & alcohol screenings
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
