Spur 366 - Woodall Rodgers
TRG team members provided Utility Coordination and Inspection to review all existing SUE plans and conceptual design plans provided by the State. Once contact with the utilities was made, a review of the proposed project commenced. Main areas of concern were the overhead electric transmission lines crossing the Trinity River, the Beckley interchange and the east levee. Additionally, there was concern for Oncor’s underground feeder to downtown Dallas located near a bridge bent for the IH 35E ramps. Test holes were completed to eliminate or determine if a utility conflict exised. During the monthly utility meetings the conflict list were reviewed and possible alternatives discussed. As a result of these meetings and additional SUE completed, modifications were made to the storm drain and bridge bent locations to accommodate the existing utilities. By eliminating the anticipated utility adjustments, valuable time was saved allowing the project to be let as scheduled.
